Electrical Design Engineer (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

Electrical Design Engineering

• Development and maintenance of electrical schematics
• Design and specification of electrical systems for controls, drives, sensors, and power supplies
• Preparation of technical documentation, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation
• Definition and execution of verification and validation activities

Electrical System Architecture

• Further development of the overall electrical architecture for future machine generations
• Standardization of electrical assemblies
• Reduction of wiring effort, installation space, and assembly complexity
• Development of modular and service-friendly electrical concepts

PCB and Hardware Development

• Development of electronic assemblies and PCB-based hardware solutions
• Integration of discrete electrical functions into PCB solutions
• Collaboration with internal and external hardware developers
• Support for prototyping, testing, and transfer to series production

Pneumatics and Fluid Systems Planning

• Preparation and maintenance of pneumatic and fluid system diagrams
• Coordination with mechanical engineering and systems engineering
• Ensuring consistent technical documentation

Machine Safety

• Development of safety-compliant electrical concepts
• Implementation of relevant standards and directives
• Support with CE conformity assessments
• Conducting safety-related analyses and preparing the required evidence

Process Development

• Establishment and continuous improvement of development processes within electrical design engineering
• Definition of approval, change management, and documentation processes
• Contribution to the development of technical standards

Profile of requirements

• Degree in electrical engineering or qualification as a state-certified electrical engineering technician
• Several years of professional experience in mechanical or plant engineering, preferably in machine tools, medical technology, or equipment manufacturing
• Experience with electrical CAD systems, preferably WSCAD
• Knowledge of PCB and hardware development is desirable
• Knowledge of relevant standards for the electrical equipment of machinery
• Basic understanding of pneumatic systems
• Good command of German and English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Structured, thorough, independent, and solution-oriented working style
• Strong teamwork skills
